Diversity breakfast: culture & behaviour – with Wijnand Nuijts, Dutch Central Bank
The Dutch Central Bank concluded from the 2008 financial crisis that an organisation’s behaviour and culture has a significant bearing on the level of risk in banks and financial services companies. In 2011, the Bank became the first supervisory authority in the world to explicitly examine the business models, corporate culture and decision-making processes of the financial institutions for which it is responsible.
At this breakfast Wijnand Nuijts, head of governance, culture and organisational behaviour at the DNB, will share his thoughts on this pioneering framework and on how culture and behaviour affect performance and risk.
